About Me...
My name is Wendy Schmidt. As of 10.10.10 I'm a married woman! I'm passionately in love with my Savior; I consider myself walking evidence of what His power, grace and love can do in a life! Currently I am the coordinator of a ministry called Dulce Refugio - 'Sweet Refuge' - where we assist children that are affected by HIV/AIDS. Launched in January, 2009 with a team of 4 people, Dulce Refugio is a branch of Alto Refugio - 'High Refuge Ministry'.
I believe God has called me to this work in Paraguay, and I believe that He will also provide. My only desire is to be an instrument of blessing to these children who need us to show them real love through our actions; to give them hope for their future through Jesus Christ. And because I believe in this calling He has placed on my life, I have invested all of my energy and time into Dulce Refugio.
There is so much yet left to accomplish and many dreams ahead of us. I would love for you to accompany me on this journey, to be a part of what God is doing here. I know you will be a blessing to my life and to the children that are touched through Dulce Refugio.
