DR Team - Creole Service, House Dedication

Praise God for this morning! Today we got to have one more hour to sleep/rest.

God led us to buy groceries for the family who will be receiving the house which some of you helped in our fundraising. Thanks to your generousity, this family will live in a better home without worry of snakes, rats or even rain coming into their house. The house you sponsored is #151.

This morning we attended a service in creole interpreted into Spanish, and then into English by our good friend Issachar. It was very emotional for me and many others, because Lynne and Aime shared their testimonies. The Spirit of the Lord had a powerful annointing on them. It is not easy to spill out your life in front of complete strangers. Praise God they both did a great job.

After a packed lunch in our usual eating place in the village, we had the dedication of the house for our sponsored family. The name of the grandma who is receiving the house is Anita. A grandson is currently living with her in her shack, and we heard today her daugher and granddaughter will be moving back in with them when the new house is complete. She was very grateful. John Huizinga – director of the Samaratin Foundation – talked to us about the importance of the housing project in helping the poor. Even when we leave here – he said – we leave our ‘fingerprints’ behind in their lives, and they will never forget us. We prayed for Anita and her family, and presented them with two suitcases full of groceries.

Afterwards we heard Juan’s testimony, which was a great blessing to us. It gave hope of what great miracles God can do in a person’s life. God healed his severed spine, after doctors said he would never walk again. Within a month and a half of the accident, he took his first steps! Juan gave God the honor and glory. What strong faith this man has in our faithful God!

We also went to visit the children which some of you have sponsored. This is for Joyce: You have sponsored a boy named Eliason. This boy clinged on to me from the first day we arrived there. I did not know it was your sponsor child until today; I found out when I went to ask Juan if Eliason had a sponsor. He speaks French fairly well, I think that’s why he was onto for the two weeks. Thank you for sponsoring him. He and his family live in house #86 in Esperanza (the village of new houses). I think I lost my shoes this past week because one Haitian worker asked if I would give him my shoes.

Keep praying for Villa Esperanza. God bless you! --Rene Leclair

PS. ‘I love you’ to all my family

Oh Rene - thank you for that. Please register every memory of Eliason and his family in your brain as I want to hear all about them. I am so glad to find out he is already living in a new home. Please if you see him (them) again give them a huge hug and lots or love from the kids and myself.
Bless all of you for what you are doing. I am so looking forward to hearing everything from all of you and I'm starting to miss you !!
Love you guys.
Bless you,
Joyce
